Toronto Island beaches are great in the summer. With a blue sky and a sandy beach, it's hard to believe you're only 15 minutes from downtown Toronto. Dogs, picnic tables and BBQs aren't permitted on the beaches.
Toronto Island consist of 3 beaches:
Hanlan's Point Beach:
Located across the public tennis courts on the west shore of Hanlan's Point, approximately ten minutes walk away from the Hanlan's Point ferry docks.
Centre Island Beach:
This beach is by the changing rooms and lockers, near the pier. There's a fast food outlet nearby, lockers, bike rental, beautiful gardens, picnic areas, and plenty of room to sunbathe.
Ward's Island Beach:
The Ward's Island beach is a 5 minute walk from the Ward's Island ferry docks at the east end of the boardawalk.
How to reach:
1) Take ferry: $8.19 per person (Return) - Can be booked online
2) Take water taxi: $10:00 per person (Quicker than ferry)
