My practice focuses on both advising employers in employment matters and defending employers in litigation and administrative proceedings. Through balancing both aspects of mypractice I understand the realities of making difficult employment decisions with the foresight of how each decision appears in a court of law or administrative proceeding.
I have defended employers in state and federal courts, as well as administrative hearings. I have significant experience with defending employers in wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination and other employment matters. I also have extensive experience in the defense of tort liability cases including wrongful death, sexual misconduct and property claims.
My practice also includes advising employers on day-to-day employment issues related to wage and hour compliance, drafting and updating employee handbooks, responding to and investigating reports of discrimination and harassment, employee discipline, and review of business contracts. I offer trainings to promote harassment and discrimination-free work environments, as well as to apprise clients of developments in the law which affect California employers. My seminars can be in and all of my services can be given in English and Spanish.
