In 2008, I graduated from Florida International University’s Honors College with a major in Political Science, a minor in Criminal Justice and a Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. I received my Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2011. While attending law school, I was selected to compete on behalf of the College of Law’s Trial Team in the Honorable E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition and served as a research assistant for Professor Cyra Choudhury. Prior to joining Rubenstein Law, I worked at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney where I tried over 50 cases ranging from misdemeanors to aggravated felonies. While working at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, I served as the Assistant Chief of County Court responsible for the supervision and training of over 60 prosecutors in 10 courtrooms, and trained law enforcement officers in credit card fraud, exploitation of the elderly and DUI evidentiary issues. I am an active member of the FIU College of Law Alumni Association where I serve on the Executive Board as the Vice President. I am also an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association, serving as an Articles Editor for the CABA Briefs and member of the CABA on Cuba Committee. Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with my family.
