I live in Brooklyn, am married and have a son. When I'm not in the office I enjoy the outdoors. I love astronomy, photograph, biking, snowshoeing, rock scrabling, and most of all hiking, especially in the mountains. My son and I am a members of the Catskills 3500 Club. That means that we have hiked all 35 peaks of the Catkills that are over 3,500 feet, and we need 4 of them again in the winter.
When you visit my office you will notice my love of the outdoors and nature. From the music in my waiting room (and if you are on hold on the the telephone) to the photos that I have taken that are on the walls of my office and the plants.
I became a lawyer in order to help others. This is one of the ways in which I try to make a positive difference in the world. When you retain our office to represent you, you become more than a client, you become a member of our extended family. That means that any time you have a legal question, you are just a phone call, email or office visit away from a free consultation to answer your question.
Susan Cohen is a California Lawyer who helps families both at Home and in the workplace. She offers servies in all areas of Family Law Practice, including Divorce and Legal Separation, Child Custody, Spousal Support and Child Support, as well as Domestic Violence. She also helps people with Employment Law Issues, including Employment Discrimination, Sex Discriimination, Sexual Harassment, Race Discrimination, Discrimination on account of Age, Equal Pay Claims, and Accommodation of Religious Beliefs and Disabilities at work.
Three principles guide my practice. First, listen carefully to clients, and help them express what's really going on in their lives. Second, find the least conflict-oriented path to a resolution. Finally, pull out all the stops in pursuing that path. Leave no stone unturned in developing a case.
I practiced business law for two years before moving to family law in 1990. Since then, I have represented state agencies, foster children, juvenile delinquents, parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, and adoption agencies. I have worked in every aspect of family law, family mediation, and collaborative law. I have worked with Native Alaskan tribal courts and State Superior Courts all over Alaska.
I have spent as much time in a courtroom as anyone in the state, but I only litigate when there is no good alternative. That would be the case where the other party is dishonest, or where children are at risk of imminent harm. Otherwise, there are great alternatives such as mediation and collaborative law. Collaborative law gives all the support you expect from a traditional attorney-client relationship, but adds open communication within a multidisciplinary team all focused on settlement. You may be surprised what can be accomplished without going to court. Either way, my office can help you decide what you want, and achieve it.
Married 24 years. I have one daughter who is a Senior at Yale University. My son passed away from Tuberous Sclerosis in 1997.
I don't believe you can understand custody law until you have kids. Until then you cannot know what kids mean to parents.
Roseline D. Feral is a knowledgeable San Diego criminal defense lawyer who has been serving Southern California residents for over 30 years. She also provides representation in the areas of family law and restraining orders. Attorney Feral is known for her ability to handle complex cases and sensitively guide her clients through the legal process. Her goal is to resolve legal issues as efficiently as possible and minimize their impact on the lives of her clients.
People in the San Diego area may be charged with crimes such as DUI, drug possession or trafficking, assault, theft, sex offenses, domestic violence, or fraud, among others. Attorney Feral believes that if the prosecution does not offer any concessions to her client or until such time as an acceptable offer has been extended, the case likely should move forward to a trial at which she will zealously advocate for her client’s rights. Having tried more than 100 jury trials, she understands the nuances of courtroom procedures and can tailor her strategy to a client’s particular situation. It is important to remember that virtually any criminal charge must be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecution must meet this high burden with regard to every element of the offense. In many cases, a skilled criminal lawyer can defeat a charge by undermining the credibility of the prosecution’s witnesses, establishing an alibi for their client, challenging the admissibility of evidence, showing that law enforcement violated constitutional protections, or proving that their client lacked the required intent to commit the crime, among other strategies.Family law relates to matters concerning divorce, custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and property division. While Attorney Feral initially honed her skills as a litigator, she is a strong negotiator as well. As a San Diego divorce attorney, she understands that negotiations may lead to outcomes that better serve a client’s long-term interests and allow them to move on with their lives. However, getting a court involved may be necessary in some circumstances, and she is ready to advocate for her clients tenaciously when that happens. For example, spouses often dispute the amount or duration of spousal support payments that are made under a separation or divorce order. The idea of spousal support is to permit the less-earning spouse to maintain the level of living to which they were accustomed during the marriage. A number of factors may go into determining whether and how much spousal support will be awarded, including the length of the marriage, the marital standard of living, tax issues, each party’s educational level, and each party’s age and health. If you have been accused of a crime, you are contemplating or going through a divorce, or you need help concerning a restraining order, Roseline D. Feral has the skills and knowledge to protect your interests. She can represent people in Chula Vista, Coronado, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Escondido, Ramona, Rancho Santa Fe, San Marcos, La Jolla, Oceanside, Valley Center, and Vista, among other Southern California communities. A 2002 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, I have created a practice that focuses on family issues, whether it's a divorce or custody matter, a criminal case, or even a personal injury. My goal is to resolve these disputes in a way that impoves the lives of my clients.
Jessica Ashleigh Meyer
2 Office Park Cir #220, Mountain Brook
AshLeigh knew from the time she was seven years old that she wanted to become an attorney. In her mind an attorney was someone who spoke for others and helped others achieve goals they could not achieve alone. She never once lost her passion for this career. After she graduated from high school, she went to the University of Alabama where she marched in the Color Guard in the Million Dollar Band. After she graduated from undergraduate school, she attended Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama.
She graduated from Cumberland in 2010 and immediately began working as an Associate for a Madison County local firm with over 20 years of experience in domestic legal work. While practicing at this firm, she gained a vast spectrum of experience in both litigation and drafting pleadings. She is well versed in all pre-trial procedures including preliminary pleadings, research, depositions, brief writing, subsequent motions, discovery, and facilitating each client’s journey to the final disposition of their case. She has litigated in Madison, Marshall, Morgan, Limestone, Colbert, Jefferson, Shelby, Talladega, Blount, and Lawrence County.
She is also certified as a Guardian Ad Litem. Her passion and goal as a GAL is that all children will be represented in actions that they are involved in through no fault of their own. Children are put through a lot of pain and misery in the divorce process, and she thinks there should always be someone who is concerned for their best interests, and consequently, the family’s overall best interests. Sometimes their parents forget this during the divorce because they are emotionally drained. On a different side, in many other situations outside of the domestic realm, children are neglected or forgotten, and she wants to be there for them, as their advocate.
In AshLeigh’s spare time, she spends time with her long term boyfriend, and their two dogs, her somewhat neurotic chubby black lab Emma, and her ridiculous weimaraner, Lacy. AshLeigh is the co-owner of Dance Trance Huntsville Madison, which is a dance fitness facility located on the
Emma & Lacy
Huntsville-Madison line. She is also a member of Dance Trance Birmingham, a locally owned dance fitness facility that is a sister studio to Dance Trance Huntsville Madison. She is very active in the Hoover Chamber of Commerce and the Birmingham Bar Association. She is also on the junior board for the Clay House and for CASA. Both of which are child related organizations that provide assistance to abused children.

I have always had a desire to help people improve their lives and situations. After working for two US Senators, I decided to pursue a more direct way to assist people in need: law school. I attended the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, which has a pioneering clinical program that enables and empowers students to perform legal work for underserved communities during their second and third years of law school. I split my time there between advocating on behalf of people who had been fired for disclosing vital information to the public, and ensuring that families impacted by HIV/AIDS were legally protected.
Upon graduation from law school at age 22, I became a member of the Maryland and DC Bars. I continued to advocate on behalf of families, in particular non-traditional families. I volunteered with several LGBT organizations to create legal stability even during a shifting legal landscape, and I worked with HIV/AIDS service providers to provide free legal services to patients.
After nearly 8 years of practice, I decided to make the shift to practicing family law full-time. I also took and passed the California Bar and moved to San Jose, where I am enjoying the diversity, the atmosphere, and the weather in equal measure.
In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, landscape and cityscape photography, learning languages, and traveling.

I'm a 22-year lawyer, practicing in the areas of complex family law and civil litigation. Most of my cases are high-conflict. I am acutely aware that my job is not to make my clients' relationship with their (soon-to-be) ex worse. Years after you forget my name, you'll have to deal with the person with whom you're fighting now. I am a results-driven, solution-oriented lawyer. My job is to work myself out of a job. Each of my clients has my cell phone number. I am never, ever, out-of-touch. In addition to my practice, I'm an adjunct professor, teaching family law at Arizona Summit Law School.
I'm 47, originally from New York City, but lost the accent years ago. I'm married with two teenaged boys. In my spare time, I write fiction, articles, and collect pinball machines.
I fight for all of my clients as if they were family, and I am proud to say that other lawyers from all over San Diego County have hired me for themselves and for their family members.
One of the things that I believe sets our firm apart is that we go through a cost/benefit analysis of each case, and even major case turning point decisions - with the client, and involve the client in that key strategic bird's-eye analysis. We feel some attorneys can lose that "big picture" perspective, and while they pursue a set of theoretical ethical standards, their clients are ultimately harmed by their cognitive inflexibility.
Another aspect of our firm that we strive to keep is our small firm/fast paced culture. Our team is close-knit - a family if you will. We know each other's families and we push one another to achieve top honors in every aspect of our lives. Inside the firm we put 100% into staying current with legal issues, determining our clients' objectives and achieveing them, and developing a personal connection with our clients as we are trusted with their children, their savings, sometimes even their freedom. Outside the firm we pursue martial arts, surfing, and hot yoga among other activities. Our lives are balanced and our work product is premium.
While I could wax proflific about our firm's character for pages, I will spare you the diatribe and invite you to...come check us out! We look forward to meeting you.

Tech-forward, knowledge-driven, and eco-friendly, my law practice is at the vanguard of disruptive innovation in the legal profession. This is not business as usual. Avoiding the redundancy and excessive billing of stratified law firms, in my practice I personally represent my individual and corporate clients in all manner of high-stakes negotiations, transactions, and lawsuits. Since founding my law practice in 2007, I have been offering variable scope representation, compassionate rates for low income clients, quick responsiveness, and transparency. As a person profoundly dedicated to social justice and rigorous ethics, I maintain the highest standards of decency in the practice of the law. I offer power, elegance, wisdom, and truth: a significant departure from the typical fist-pounding and fire-fanning one might see with standard-fare legal mercenaries. Ultimately, a good lawyer is the right answer to the questions of style and substance. A good client appreciates the difference.
I look forward to speaking with you.

Thank you for taking the time to visit Harris Family Law Group, your last stop for FLAT FEE ATTORNEY SERVICES. You need an excellent attorney ready to fight for your rights and help you get what you need. At Harris Family Law Group our clients are our #1 priority, not how much we can bill you. Just look at the reviews posted by our clients!
Since before law school and even after, working for the federal government, foreign governments, and law firms, I was appalled by the amount of billable hours that were being charged to clients for work never performed. When billing attorney is eating dinner and thinking about your case, they are billing you, often at $400 per hour. When they are talking to another attorney in the firm or a Partner, they are BOTH billing you, with the partner billign for over $600 per hour. And what happens when you cannot pay the bill. The law firm refuses to continue on your case and gets removed by the Court.
To me, this is outrageous. As Managing Partner of Harris Family Law Group, I created this firm to end the endless billables in litigation and mediation. Our firm focuses on the client's needs and desires, not on the number of hours we work on your case. Thus we have created a program called FLAT FEE ATTORNEY SERVICES which allows us to charge ONE FLAT FEE and NOTHING MORE!!! No more billable hours. No more monthly bills in the mail or email asking for MORE money.
YOU PAY ONE FEE AND THAT IS ALL.
If we are on the phone negotiating your case, we are NOT billing you.
If we are in Court, fighting for your rights, we are NOT billing you.
If we are reviewing a settlement offer, we are NOT billing you.
Lastly, we provide what most law firms will not: FREE CONSULTATIONS!!! If at the end of the consultation, you do not want to hire us, not a problem. We will even validate your parking!
So if you have a divorce, legal separation, custody battle, support issue, in need of a restraining order. or want a prenuptial agreement? GIVE US CALL AT HARRIS FAMILY LAW GROUP, YOUR ONE STOP SHOP FOR FLAT FEE ATTORNEY SERVICES WHO CARE ABOUT YOU!!
My diverse business and professional background and personal experiences give me an ability to comperhend your problems and to solve them quickly and cost effectively. I spent years working as a broker on Wall Street where I was responsible for numerous multi-million dollar transactions every day. That skillset helps me understand numbers and balance sheets better than most attorneys and. often, better than opposing accountants thus giving my clients the edge in negotiations or at trial.
I also went through a very unpleasant divorce myself many years ago and that experience colors the way I practice law today in that I treat my clients and their case with the utmost respect that I believe they deserve. That means that I fully explain and get the client's approival before taking any major legal action(s) and I try to focus on resolving the case issues to my client's maximum benefit but at a minimum cost.
I was also very fortunate in my past to have had a wonderful career as a Tony Award winning performer that has a very positive influence on my law practice by giving me an ease with practically everyone I meet, especially Judges, and I strive to maintain a level of personal integrity that is second to none so that, when I speak on my client's behalf, the Court and the opposition hear and clearly understand my client's perspective on the issues.
