Professional Experience:
Mr. McCarthy practices in the areas of real property law, family law, criminal law and litigation, civil law and litigation, probate litigation, trusts, wills and estate planning, personal injury, automobile negligence, general business, corporate law, and was a referred-to attorney for the UAW-GM, UAW-Chrysler, and UAW-Ford legal services programs. With extensive trial experience, Mr. McCarthy often serves as a Circuit Court Mediator, and as a Moot Court Judge at the MSU College of Law on a voluntary basis. Mr. McCarthy is a former Treasurer of the Lapeer County Bar Association. He was featured in the March, 1995 issue of National Lawyers Weekly. Mr. McCarthy was selected as a student advisor/court liason for the first ever Michigan Supreme Court "Court Community Connections" accessibility and outreach program designed to educate high school students on the issues before and inner-workings of a Supreme Court argument.
Community Service:
Mr. McCarthy is a Past-President of the Metamora Area Chamber of Commerce, former President of the Lapeer West Side Soccer Club, former Vice-Chairperson of Growth and Opportunity of Lapeer, and presently serves as a Trustee of the Four County Community Foundation.
