It’s OK to plan A Vacation

Who hasn’t sat at their desk daydreaming of their next vacation? With the pandemic culling many of our plans, a combination of feeling disappointed and guilty about those feelings when others have lost much more can really weigh on us, psychologist Taisha Caldwell-Harvey tells The Los Angeles Times. Planning for vacation is a type of self-care and “it’s critical to find moments of joy amid stress.” With travel restrictions still in place around much of the country, Caldwell-Harvey advises recreating those moments closer to home by disconnecting and spending time with friends or family.
